Cracking Up

3: THE RIGHTS OF
MAN AND THE
WRONGS OF WOMAN

Great revolutions have been compared to earthquakes.  They crack not only the structure of their societies but the minds of creative people within them.  Mary Wollstonecraft was England's first feminist, but her sympathy with the French Revolution and her challenge to the prevailing attitudes of her day cost her dear.  Her courageous life and her powerful words still inspire feminists today.
